First of the longer runs of the week today, and after yesterday’s thoughts on wearing the appropriate clothing whilst running, I swiftly made the same mistake again today!
It’s funny how quickly you realise you’ve made a mistake with your clothing, with it probably taking less than a mile to know you’re too hot. As was the case today, and then proceeded to run about another 10 miles.
I always think it’s best to see it out as I did today, it helps you learn the hard way! The sweat was collecting on the inside and if I swung my arms lower than 90 degrees it fell into my hand. Quite strange!
As for the run it was just over 90 minutes of easy running, clocking just about 11 miles. It’s always good just to get these nice aerobic runs in, and there’s a feeling of strength which comes from the mere ability to be able to go out and do that, at whatever speed.
It also adds to that overall base which I’m in the process of building, and is the whole point of the current part of training.
